Where REHABILITATION meets WELLNESS

"Change happens through movement and movement heals."

Pilates is available exclusively at our

What is Pilates?

Pilates is a whole body system of exercise that utilizes specifically designed equipment focused on improving spinal control and elongating muscles. Pilates exercises simulate normal functional movement and develop the body's core musculature, including the abdominals, scapular stabilizers (mid-back) and lumbar paraspinals (low back). Clients learn to initiate movement from the core, allowing the arms and legs to move from a stable spine. Pilates integrates a series of exercises with the use of of the breath that promotes physical and mental well-being.

How can Pilates help me?
  • Develop a wider range of motion and improve flexibility, decreasing the risk of injury
  • Develop strength, muscle tone and flexibility
  • Work the entire body in a safe, gentle low impact way
  • Pilates exercises stimulate and engage the mind
  • Improved posture
Who can participate in Pilates?
  • Regardless of your current fitness level, Pilates can be modified specifically to your needs and goals
  • Conditions that may benefit from Pilates include: low back pain, spinal stenosis, degenerative disc disease, osteoporosis, rotator cuff injuries, total knee/hip replacements, postpartum rehabilitation.
  • Pilates is a valuable asset in rehabilitation and taking you to the next level in regards to strength, endurance and flexibility
